Our (Potentially Last) Day at Tivoli

Today was a goof-off day, so we got ourselves re-acquainted with Tivoli Park.  It's been obvious how much the economy has been impacting things here -- the amount of turnover in retail shops and restaurants in the city center from just a year ago is astounding (although the Ljubljana dragon is still out in full force).  It was apparent at the park as well...it wasn't nearly as neatly-groomed as in the past, and some of the staples at the playground (like the zip-line, unfortunately) were out of commission.  In fact, there were only a couple of other kids there, probably because there wasn't much to do.

Yet, not surprisingly, our kiddos still managed to have fun.  That is, until one of their parents (the taller one) got a little overzealous spinning them on the merry-go-round and Sy threw up...once again.  Then he said, "Daddy, can we not come to this park anymore?"  So, our days at the Tivoli playground may be over.

For dinner, Chantelle made one of her Ljubljana specialties: fish and potatoes.  As usual, Sy requested an eyeball (yes, an eyeball) as though it were a delicacy.  Go figure...the kid pukes on the merry-go-round and then eats fish eyeballs.  Rosetta, on the other hand, decided against eating the other one, so Celia ate it, barely choked it down, and then said emphatically, "I'm never eating fish eyeballs again!"
