Here we are again, live from our favorite country atop the Adriatic. We were invited back by the U.S. Embassy, fortunate to now be on our third stint in Slovenia, back home in our humble abode below the castle for the next four weeks.
It was a hectic week: five days in northern Wisconsin, back to St. Paul for twenty-four hours of laundry and packing, and then the pond-jump here with just an hour layover in D.C. and again in Munich. With everything that could have gone wrong, our only mishap was Sy spilling hot chocolate (luckily not too hot) all over his Brewers jersey in the Munich airport, but that's about par for the course.
We arrived yesterday morning and spent our day re-acquainting ourselves with some of our favorites: pizza, ice cream, Lasko, and our good friend Matjaz, who greeted the kiddos with his beautiful necklaces as gifts. And, after a long day, we all crashed for thirteen hours...
